Scientific Community Portal

The portal is a part of one of the world’s biggest scientific organizations that deals with neuroscience. The community portal was built with a vision to share the knowledge regarding neuroscience with the fellow people in the scientific community as well as with the public.

The community is composed of individuals and also different kinds of organizations, corporations, universities that support the community in a good way.

The portal was built using one of the best CMS, Joomla!. This CMS was selected in order to provide flexibility and also to utilize the user-friendliness of its admin control panel.  The portal has functionalities like:

1)    User Registration and Login Process
The functionality allows a visitor of the site to become a friend of the organization; the visitor can register to the site with his personal information. On confirmation about his registration, he can login to the community portal and can communicate with other similar profiles.
2)    Friends’ Statements
A visitor/friend can specify his/her views regarding the organization; these views are verified by the Admin users and will be displayed in the website.       
3)    Banner Management
This functionality is placed on the top section to display the advertisements and related information; these banners are made manageable by the admin.
4)    Contact Us
Allows the visitors to contact the admin with their issues.
5)    Newsletter Subscription
This facility allows visitors to subscribe to a newsletter that is being published by the organization.
6)    User Logs
Allows visitors to identify how many people are using the website and how many friends are online.
7)    User Statistics
This facility allows the Admin user to know the statistics about the website, which users are accessing which page, etc.
