Overview

ToolPoint is a vertical cluster initiative focused on Life Science instrument companies.

The main aim was to develop a multilingual website for ToolPoint with a CMS integrated for managing the website. A recycling module had to be included for site members to dispose all kinds of machines.

Key Challenges

Technical Challenges

Since the end users and administrators were mostly representatives of various companies, the website and CMS must be simple, user friendly and well defined. Besides, we had to educate them on how to work with the system. We had to do lots of meetings with the client to understand the requirements and propose the appropriate solution.

UI Challenges

The design provided by a design company in Switzerland seemed complex. Thus integrating it with the PITS CMS was a key challenging task.

Solutions

A lot of time was spent in discussions with the client to understand the requirements. Following this we proposed to use our CMS since it seemed more feasible.

Client Gain/Feedback

The project was completed and delivered as per schedule with a good client feedback. The CMS is widely used by the client and it helps them project their day to day activities to the outside world. We still continue to support them in the maintenance phase of the website.
