Overview

COREM is a social networking website developed in the PHP-based framework, Symfony. Here, the user can create own profile, add contacts and store them in an address book. The project objective was to add features like address book management, to store updated contacts which had to be synchronized well with external applications.

Key Challenges

System study was a major challenge since we were new to the proposed framework. We had no historical data describing about this kind of a project. Moreover the user attributes were not specified clearly. Finally, the suggested design seemed very complex as most of the pages were to load in a JavaScript modal window.

Solutions

The existing challenges were resolved with proper research and development by our dedicated resources with some degree of external assistance.

Client Gain/Feedback

Though there was not enough feedback from COREM at crucial times, they helped us to get ourselves familiar with the new technology. Besides, it gave us an idea about the impact of vague requirements at improper times. Last but not the least, COREM is considered to be one of the biggest projects executed by the PHP team.
