One of the biggest travel agents specialized in the maritime cruise business in Switzerland decided to computerize all booking related transactions and renovate their old static website with live information. The old website contained only static information about the routes, cruises and vessels. This had to be converted into a dynamic website with live information like prices, schedules, availability of seats, etc.
It is a fully Ajax-oriented website. An extended search panel is implemented with a world map integrated using Ajax for navigation. It provides online booking of cruise tours. Users can print the PDF catalogs provided for their cruise and they can view cruise as well as vessel details. All the cruise, route, vessel, and booking details are managed through Cruise Booking System’s back office management software The website shares the same data managed by the back office application, and thus always delivers the latest data to a visitor of the website.
