Overview

SalesRocket2Sucess is a product that has been developed for the benefit of sales professionals. It is a step-by-step process of making a lead into a successful opportunity in any business, irrespective of the domain area.

It facilitates users with an extreme level of sales strategy and report generation.  The product had to be drafted on the fly and made available on the web unlike a conventional stand-alone application.

Key Issues

  • Technical Challenges

    The product was initially developed using the .NET 2.0 Framework and then switched over to .NET 3.0.  At present, the product is available in the .NET 3.5 version.

    Thus, maintaining this system in the latest .NET versions, and that too with minimal effort/impact, was a constant technical challenge.

  • Functional Challenges

    One of the main challenges was to incorporate the Funnel View feature, which is plotting a pictorial representation of the revenue of a sales opportunity and its status with various other combinations. Besides, maintaining unique reporting features like the Key Project View and Tabbed View and Dynamic Alarm Generation encompassed the difficult requirements.

  • UI Challenges

    The system had to retain a separate look and feel for each user role (Admin, Super Admin and Normal users).  AJAX and Infragistics helped a lot to maintain a good GUI.

  • Database Challenges

    The SQL Server had to preserve 500 stored procedures and 30 tables, all in the normalized form. Each company in the system had its own unique database to maintain, with data security being of great importance.

 

Final Deployment

The product was published to the production environment through IIS configurations.

Server configuration and support were also offered by PITS.

 

Client Requirement/Feedback

The client was extremely satisfied since we were always on track with the schedules and estimates. Besides, the site was already home to numerous billable customers who were using the services. We also managed to gain four new leads in CRM along with added projects from the same client.

It is also poised to become a potential product for PIT Solutions in the future.
