ITOPF
The International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF) is a not-for-profit organization, which has devoted its efforts for developing a wide range of technical services to promote effective response in the marine environment to back up their core role of responding to ship-sourced spills. ITOPF is a fully responsive website developed using TYPO3. The project was done by PITS together with Liquidlight, an award winning web design agency from the UK. In general the website showcases the various services provided by the organization to its members.
Read MoreITOPF provides its service to the members (tanker owners) or associates (other ship owners) and their oil pollution insurers. Further they offer services at the request of governments and intergovernmental organizations such as the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPC Funds). A database of their case studies is available for the users. Those cases can be browsed by using a filter or can be selected with the help of an interactive map. The knowledge and resources section includes numerous document resources related to the services provided. ITOPF has its own library with an extensive collection of books, reports, conference papers and technical articles on oil pollution, clean-up techniques and related topics.
