GZO Spital Wetzikon
PIT Solutions designed and built a fully responsive TYPO3 web platform for GZO Spital Wetzikon, covering 50+ clinics and departments with integrated search, careers, and patient information tools.
GZO Spital Wetzikon is a regional hospital with a university teaching mandate, providing comprehensive medical care to more than 100,000 outpatients and around 10,000 inpatients each year, primarily from the Zurich Oberland region. For over 100 years, high-quality medical care and close regional ties have formed the foundation of the non-profit hospital, which is owned by twelve shareholder municipalities.
PIT Solutions was involved in the UX concept, development, and ongoing maintenance of a fully responsive web platform built on TYPO3, covering more than 50 clinics, centers, and specialist departments. The implementation includes several custom TYPO3 extensions, such as a baby gallery, job listings with subscription and notification features, a staff directory, a module for medical conditions, event management, and a download center.
The platform also integrates Apache Solr enterprise search, an A–Z quick finder for specialist departments, an emergency contact system, and blog, podcast, and newsletter modules, helping patients and referring physicians quickly find the information they need.
